Brief Introduction of Geocell Confinement System
In the early 1980s, the US Army Corps of engineers first used geocell and obtained a patent. The early use of this technology was to build military roads on soft soil. Today, Hengquan Geocell is not only used for foundation stability, but also for erosion control of slope and channel and construction of retaining wall.
Geocell Confinement System Characteristic
Geocell cellular confinement systems applications have many advantages. We may list these advantages as follows; It allows the use of natural filling materials instead of expensive filling materials in the application area.
In addition to being economical, it provides more than 50% reduction in filling depth compared to classical methods. Three-dimensional cells ensure the compression of the filling material, increasing the bearing capacity and it prevents collapses. It plays an important role in increasing the hardness ratio of the structural filling and thus gains strength. Due to its structure, it provides a natural drainage structure, while at the same time it prevents the filling material from being damaged by hydraulic flows.
Laying method
Construction method and technology of geocell:
1. Working face: some existing slopes have met the requirements, slope restoration is in progress, and working faces will be provided successively.
The flatness of slope is directly related to the success or failure of geosyncline grass protection.
It tends to produce stress concentration and solder joint cracking in the lattice chamber.
Therefore, the slope must be leveled to the design requirements, and pumice and dangerous rocks must be removed by manual slope repair.
2. The side slope of the paving room is provided with a main drainage system.
The distance between two adjacent ditches shall be 4m, and the drainage ditch shall be connected with the ditch at the edge of the road to make the water in the road area flow into the drainage ditch and into the edge of the road, so as to avoid the road area and prevent slope erosion protection.
3. Level the slope top, remove sundries that are not conducive to mesh laying, and keep the slope flat and solid.
You can also start with a good layer of soil to help plants grow.
4. The grid is laid from top to bottom along the main direction to make the grid plate weight perpendicular to the highway subgrade.

5. Fully open the compartment assembly and use hook rivet screws on the top.
The length of the riveted pile shall be twice the height of the cabin itself and 30 cm, such as 5 cm of the cabin.
The rivet column shall be 2-5cm long, 30cm long, 40cm long, and the rivet column in 10cm cabin shall be 2-1030cm long and 50cm long.
Among the riveted piles with drainage ditches on both sides, the bamboo pile mainly plays the role of opening the cell.
The middle and bottom can also be composed of bamboo and wood pile samples. The top riveting pile mainly plays the role of riveting grid, and better materials such as reinforcement can be used.
The reinforcement must be perpendicular to the slope. Other parts mainly play the role of living room in the construction. The materials available are relatively simple.
6. After the carriage is opened and riveted, the carriage shall be filled with high-quality soil suitable for planting grass or grass seeds. The soil shall reach 1.2 times the height of the carriage, and vegetation shall be planted in time.
7. When used for road downhill, the drainage ditch shall be connected with the shoulder retaining ditch to facilitate pavement drainage, and the slope protection shall not be washed.
When it is used for road uphill, a collecting ditch shall be set at the top of the slope to prevent rainwater at the uphill height from entering the drainage ditch and directly scouring the slope protection.
Higher geosynclines should be used as far as possible when going uphill.
8. After construction, re inspection shall be carried out, and non-solid materials with insufficient tension shall be reworked in time until the grass or grass completely survives.
